Design Story

The Lucky Cannelé Cat represents the beautiful intersection of French patisserie culture and Japanese design philosophy. Lance Han draws inspiration from the iconic ridged texture of Cannelé pastries, translating their golden-bronze exterior into a charming feline form.

This design explores the concept of cultural sweetness - how different traditions can blend harmoniously to create something entirely new yet familiar. The characteristic fluted edges of the Cannelé become decorative elements that enhance the cat's natural curves, while the caramelized surface treatment evokes the pastry's signature finish.

Each piece embodies the meticulous attention to detail found in both French pastry-making and Japanese craftsmanship. The Lucky Cannelé Cat serves as a bridge between culinary art and design, celebrating the universal language of creativity and the joy found in life's sweet moments.
